Nicky Logue, General Manager and Director of Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel, Killiney has been appointed the new president of the Irish Hospitality Institute (IHI) for a two year term.
The main focus for the president is the professional interests and needs within the Irish tourism industry.
Commenting on his appointment, Nicky said, “I am delighted to have been elected as the new President of the Irish Hospitality Institute. I look forward to working with the Council and Chief Executive over the coming two years in helping promote our members interests and to grow and improve the Hospitality Industry in Ireland.”
The IHI is a professional voluntary non-profit organisation for managers in the hotel, catering and hospitality sector in Ireland. All graduates of Shannon are awarded membership of the IHI at Graduation.
Nicky graduated from Shannon College in 1995 and was President of the Alumni Association in 2009/2010. He is also Chair of the Shannon College of Hotel Management Trust.
