Dick Bourke has advised me of the sad passing of Bob Hanley, his classmate from the Class of 1968. Bob was a well known hotelier and owned the Lansdowne Arms in Kenmare for many years.
Bob’s son Pat was in the 2003 Class in Shannon College and is now GM of the Sheen Falls in Kenmare.
Poignantly, Bob’s class will celebrate their 50th year since starting College by returning to Shannon this September. No doubt a glass or two will be raised to friends absent during their get together.
Funeral arrangements are available on rip.ie.
Thinking of Bob’s family, friends and his classmates at this very sad time. May he R.I.P.
