The Certificate in Hotel Leadership 2018 in association with Conor Kenny & Associates has just completed and 10 successful graduates have headed back to their workplace inspired and full of knowledge.
Pictured below are some of the speakers and events that took place. There was a Fireside Chat in Dromoland Castle on Wednesday night and the Certificate participants posed questions to the panellists –

The panellists were all extremely honest and informative in their answers which really made the event a very special one.
Shannon College welcomed back John Burke (Class of 1999), Hotelier and Managing Director of the Armada Hotel, Spanish Point. John was the first Clareman to summit Mount Everest in May 2016 and spoke to the participants about ‘Leadership, Mental Health, Getting the balance right’.
We also welcomed back Michael Davern (1988), Chief Executive and General Manager of the K Club and gave a session called “Learning from a world leading Hotelier”.
Two former colleagues returned to Shannon to deliver classes – Gillian Horan spoke about her passion in life – “Branding” and John D. Mulcahy spoke on Food Trends.
It was a very special course where we made new friends and welcomed back old ones – the basis of all of our business.
