Do the work, take in as much experience along the way – never stop trying new things!
In your life, what achievement are you most proud of?
Graduating from Shannon and my work so far in the industry!
What qualities do you think are most important to have for a rewarding career?
Always remain positive – no matter what – a hugely important quality in a manager even during tough times! Staff always look to you.
What has been the biggest challenge you have faced during Covid-19?
Covid brought with it massive challenges for everyone in the industry. The biggest challenge was loosing some amazing team members in London. Also, ensuring the team are safe at all times was a challenge.
Do you have words of wisdom that you try to live by?
Everything happens for a reason & what is for you, won’t pass you. These two sentences brought me through many tough times and decisions!
What advice do you have for current SCHM students who are looking for inspiration and hope?
Take this as a chance to learn new skills if you can. Being able to adapt is essential. This will pass and tourism will recover quickly. Yes the industry may look different but once your able to adapt, you will have every success once you put your mind to it! Turn a negative into a positive always.
