Gill Blum R.I.P.
Many of our elder Graduates will be saddened to hear of the passing of Gill Blum.
Gill was Jorgen Blum’s widow and passed away yesterday in her home town of Royston in Hertfordshire, with her son Chris and daughter Jennifer in close proximity. Jorgen Blum was Director of Shannon College of Hotel Management until 1985 and passed away in 2003. When the Blums moved to England, they lived for a number of years in Haslemere in Surrey before moving to Royston.
Many recent students will recognise the Bust of Jorgen Blum that is on display in the College Atrium since April 2007. Here are some photos of the Blum family and former SCHM colleagues from the unveiling.
