MANAGEMENT COUPLE – Residential position.

OPERATIONS MANAGER /HEAD HOUSEKEEPER/FRONT OF HOUSE SERVICE

Essential Requirements: Previous experience working in a Boutique hotel, UHNW private household or high-end chalet.

Hands-on, proactive, forward thinking, strong communication and organisational skills. Hospitality background with strong front of house and F&B skills, good administrative skills, staff management skills.

 An exciting opportunity for a proactive, country loving couple to be based at a private high-end Eco Resort. A luxury mountain retreat that allows guests to completely unwind, relax and escape into nature. The facility caters to private clients, Wellness and Corporate clients in various accommodations, based one hour from Dublin.

This role will suit a couple who share an interest and love of nature along with a passion for sustainability. The property has 21 bedrooms and stands in 6 acres of land. The property is highly sustainable with its own electricity supply, a “growing” programme for the commercial kitchens, all in this very special ECO hideaway.

This will be a varied role that will require you to work collaboratively with a team of staff already in place, including housekeepers, gardeners, cooks and maintenance staff. Together you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the resort on a day-to-day basis.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Operations Manager:

  • Oversee business operations throughout the resort. Ensuring each department delivers a consistently high standard of guest service.
  • Maintain cost control in all areas. Budget management and maximise financial opportunities working alongside the owners.
  • Carry out regular inspections of all departments to ensure high standards of guest service delivery, cleanliness, guest satisfaction.
  • Plan and direct daily operations to include quality, standards, cleanliness & guest satisfaction.
  • Work alongside all staff to ensure a smooth day to day operation.
  • Attendance at various meetings & events and conduct regular operation meetings with all departments to ensure operational matters, department performance and guest feedback.
  • Responsible for all day-to-day queries, problems or complaints that may arise.
  • Carry out duty management shifts as required.
  • Health and safety to include fire walks and Health and safety audits.
  • Promote positive employee relations though effective communication and regular team meetings.
  • Establish and review operational policies and procedures on a regular basis.

Housekeeping Management /Front of house duties.

  • Supervise, oversee and manage housekeeping staff to ensure the property is kept in top condition, clean, safe and secure always. Ensuring a high standard and good attention to detail
  • Front of house; meet and greet guests
  • Good administration skills; managing bookings, checking in and out guests, managing payments
  • Provide F&B Service
  • Manage Inventory and stock
  • Manage rosters and schedules

Candidates must have strong communication skills and be highly organised with exceptional attention to detail. Our client is looking for a couple who is highly discreet, takes pride in their work and is looking for a long-term position.

Salary negotiable based on previous experience. 2-bedroom, recently refurbished ground floor apartment provided. Drivers essential.  Dependent and well-behaved pet welcome. (HU4230)
