Hans Schmid putting anyone of us back in our box if we got too “smart” with him.
If you had to re-live your time in Shannon College, would you do anything differently?
I would have thought more about career choices and placements. Probably should have travelled more after college working in the industry.
What advice would you give to your 20 year old self?
Take it all in, don’t be in a rush , study hard because believe it or not it’s worth it.
In your life, what achievement are you most proud of?
I am proud of them all , they come in different stages of life and are relevant in the moment, getting results from hard work and good planning always very satisfying.
What qualities do you think are most important to have for a rewarding career?
Self discipline, willingness to learn, humility, ambition.
What has been the biggest challenge you have faced during Covid-19?
Maintaining a positive outlook.
Do you have words of wisdom that you try to live by?
Mean what you’re doing, be honest, sincere and never give up.
What advice do you have for current SCHM students who are looking for inspiration and hope?
What you’re experiencing now will make you more resilient, determined and prepared. This is the time for learning and when you’re time comes, you’ll be ready.
